Mastering the energy transition together and reaching a whole new level.<\/strong>
Making their city greener and protecting the climate is a particularly important concern for Dortmund's municipal utilities in order to support the nationwide vision of the transport revolution with the goal of climate neutrality right now. Converting the fleet to e-buses is part of this. This also requires the necessary conversion of the Dortmund municipal utilities depot in B\u00fcnninghausen. The special task: to build a future-orientated charging station full of energy for 30 e-buses. A total investment of around 30 million euros for the electric buses and the transformer charging stations, half of which was financed by subsidies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the needs of Dortmund's public utility company very much in mind, numerous things and circumstances had to be considered first: How and where could a transformer station consisting of five building sections, 5 megawatts and weighing a total of 150 tonnes be accommodated in the very limited space available at the depot next to the latest bus hall for the perfect installation of the charging infrastructure? Nowhere, actually. Not really at all. If it weren't for SCHEIDT and the creative idea in this case of digging a pit around 200 m2 in size and four to five metres deep and simply burying the transformer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After approx. 120 lorry journeys had removed the soil, SCHEIDT used a special 300-tonne crane to install BEK as a building combination: 1 x 5-fold, 2 x 3-fold and 1 x 2-fold as well as 1 x BEK individually. The 10 cm model grid made it possible to produce exactly what was needed. The stations were placed in an \"open cellar\" with the roof flush with the top edge of the ground. Another very special highlight for the environment: in this project, all BEK stations have a green, walk-on roof surface, which was equipped with a simple modular system for roof greening and delivered completely finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
