Of the more than 3 million existing, active SMEs in Germany, the trade magazine Die Deutsche Wirtschaft compiles an annual "Mittelstand 10,000" ranking with the aim of identifying the most important representatives of SMEs in the German economy.
This year, we made it into the TOP 10,000 in our category with around 800,000 candidates, which is truly a reason to celebrate.
We owe this success in particular to the dedicated commitment and expertise of our employees at all Scheidt locations - as well as to our loyal customers, suppliers, haulage contractors and crane companies.

With the start of the coronavirus pandemic, 2020 began with special, previously unfamiliar difficulties for all of us, which have had a serious and lasting impact on our lives and work ever since. COVID-19 has had a profound impact on each and every one of us and has hit the real economy hard: we have spent many sleepless nights trying to find suitable measures to protect all employees in the best possible way. At the same time, we have to safeguard the livelihoods of each individual and the Scheidt company as a whole by keeping business operations as normal as possible.
However, maintaining our operations is not just in our hands: interactions and dependencies with our customers, suppliers, freight forwarders and crane companies present us with new challenges every day that require us to make complex plans and decisions.
Against this backdrop, we are particularly proud and grateful that our partners and we have weathered this severe global crisis so well so far.
We believe that this is not due to luck alone. This success in turbulent times is above all the merit of each individual - in our partner companies as well as at Scheidt - because despite the tense atmosphere in the world and complicated circumstances, everyone involved has given their all to master the tasks set.
